Yes. Our initial catfish check and risk assessment are completely free. We provide a preliminary scan that analyzes basic identity signals. For a comprehensive background report with full details, we may connect you with a trusted partner service that charges a fee.
Can the person I search find out I looked them up?
No. All searches on CatfishFinder are 100% confidential. We do not notify anyone when a search is performed, and we don't store your search queries. Your privacy is fully protected.
How accurate are the results?
Our AI engine cross-references 150+ databases to provide the most accurate assessment possible. However, results are informational and should not be considered definitive proof. We recommend using our results as one data point in your overall evaluation of someone's identity.
What should I do if I think I'm being catfished?
Start by running a check on our tool. If the results raise concerns, stop sending any money or personal information. You can report romance scams to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, the FBI's IC3 at ic3.gov, or contact your local law enforcement.
Can I remove my information from CatfishFinder?
CatfishFinder aggregates information from public sources in real time and does not maintain its own database of personal records.
